The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to ride the quarterback carousel. After replacing Ryan Fitzpatrick on Sunday, Jameis Winston will once again be the starter for the Bucs when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12.

This is an expensive decision the Bucs are making, as Winston’s contract is guaranteed for injury next season. If he gets hurt and is out for a while, then the team will be saddled up to his $20.9 million fifth-year option.
Winston hasn’t been any better this year than Fitzpatrick has been, at his worst. After returning to the lineup following his three-game suspension, he stunk up the joint. In four starts, he threw 10 interceptions, which at the time was tied for the NFL lead.
He’s not the future or the present answer for the team at the quarterback position, and the Buccaneers are completely out of playoff contention with just three wins on the season. With all that in mind, this decision seems like it’s the wrong one for Tampa Bay.
