Bubba Wallace continues to show speed at every type of race track to open the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, this time leading both the practice sheets and the fastest 10 lap average sheets on Saturday in advance of qualifying at Martinsville Speedway.
Wallace is seventh in the championship standings but has run inside the top-5 all season and is amongst the leaders in stage points, which offset all but two of his results being 20th or worse, a sign of misfortune rather than performance.
He garnered praise from both team owner Denny Hamlin and FOX TV analyst Kevin Harvick this week.
Wallace was also fastest in practice last week at Homestead-Miami in advance of a podium finish.
