Early in the second quarter on Thursday night, Chicago Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer went down hard after being sandwiched between two Green Bay Packers defenders.
He left the game as soon as he was able, heading straight into the locker room while making sure not to move his left arm.
Bears QB Brian Hoyer just walked to locker room, making sure not to move left arm. Looks like 3rd-string QB Matt Barkley might get snaps.

It appeared as if Hoyer injured his left forearm badly on the play, and we’re not convinced he didn’t break it.
Julius Peppers and Clay Thomas combined on the brutal takedown.
This put backup Matt Barkley in the game for the Bears — a significant downgrade at the quarterback position. While Hoyer had struggled early, he was coming off a four-game stretch in which he passed for at least 302 yards.
This injury, if it’s as severe as it appeared to be, could mean the return of Jay Cutler as the starter for the Bears this year — something that Chicago likely isn’t happy about.
