Former first-round pick Brady Quinn is apparently looking to give this whole NFL thing another try. After sitting out the 2014 season in pursuit of a career as a journalist with Fox Sports, Quinn is prepared to show teams that he still has something to offer.
Unfortunately for Quinn, he never really had much to offer in the first place. The former Notre Dame standout has put up 12 touchdowns compared to 17 interceptions in parts of six NFL seasons. He also boasts a career 4-16 record in 20 starts.
One of the reasons Quinn is looking to return to the NFL is the belief that he’s better than some of the top free agent quarterbacks set to hit the open market next month. With the likes of Jake Locker, Josh McCown and Matt Moore heading the free agent class, Quinn would be right in assuming he can latch on with a team.
According to NFL Media’s Dan Hanzus, Quinn has been working with former NFL quarterback Jeff Christensen, who has also worked with the likes of Drew Stanton and Kirk Cousins in the past.
