Lamar Jackson is unquestionably one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks today. But the one glaring hole on his MVP resume is the fact that he still hasn’t won a Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens are doing everything they can to change that next season.

That starts this offseason by adding a star receiver in NFL free agency. But he’s not quite the same three-time All-Pro he once was.

On the second day of the NFL’s early tampering window, the Baltimore Ravens agreed to a one-year contract with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. According to The Athletic’s NFL insider Dianna Russini, Hopkins is signing a contract that “can be worth up to $6 million.”

Set to turn 33 before the season starts, Hopkins is no longer the No. 1 receiver that saw him make five Pro Bowl appearances as a member of the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals. However, he is a highly capable receiver who brings 12 years of NFL experience to a room that has potential for growth with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman leading the way.

Hopkins played all 16 games last season, but recorded just 610 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 56 receptions. However, he did still record 1,057 yards while with the Tennessee TItans despite inconsistent QB play in 2023, so perhaps the Ravens can unlock a bit more production from him.
