The Los Angeles Angels bolstered their bullpen with a pair of right-handers on Wednesday, signing veterans Luis Garcia and Adam Cimber.
Garcia agreed to a one-year, $4.25 million deal, while Cimber was signed for one year and $1.65 million.
Garcia, 36, was 2-3 with a 4.07 ERA in 61 relief appearances for the San Diego Padres last season and is 21-27 with a 4.05 ERA in 485 career appearances (four starts) in 11 seasons for five different teams.
Cimber, 33, was 0-2 with a 7.40 ERA in 22 appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays last season, a year after he tied for the major league lead with 77 appearances. In six seasons with four different clubs, Cimber is 22-24 with a 3.49 ERA in 323 relief appearances.
The Angels’ bullpen was 25th in the major leagues last season with a 4.88 ERA.
