The Alabama Crimson Tide won’t have starting cornerback Trevon Diggs for the foreseeable future after he suffered a broken foot on Saturday’s win over Arkansas.
Head coach Nick Saban broke the news to reporters during his press conference on Monday.

Diggs, a junior, had started all six games so far this year for the Crimson Tide. He has 20 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and six passes defensed to his credit.
As we’ve seen throughout Saban’s tenure as the coach at Alabama, including this year already, the Crimson Tide will continue to roll. Look for freshman Patrick Surtain Jr. to step up his involvement in Diggs’ stead going forward.
