When you preach competition on the football field, something like this is bound to happen. Various San Francisco 49ers beat writers are indicating that wide receiver Anquan Boldin was “sent” off the practice field Friday evening after a fight with cornerback Darryl Morris.
Incredible end to 49ers practice. Anquan Boldin gets ordered off the field after tussle with Darryl Morris. Very competitive off vs. def.

Morris, a young defensive back looking to earn a spot in the 49ers cornerback rotation, is known for getting into the face of receivers. Apparently, the veteran Boldin took exception to it on Friday.
Feistiest practice in Harbaugh era? Several flare ups, including one that resulted in Anquan Boldin being sent from the field.

This type of competition is normally a good thing during the summer, but it can also get out of control. That’s likely one of the primary reasons Harbaugh kicked Boldin off the practice field. Being the professional that he is, I highly doubt Boldin will have any long-term issues with the action that Harbaugh took.
It’s rather interesting (or a coincidence) that what one scribe called the “feistiest practice in the Harbaugh era” took place hours after Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko commented about the Seattle Seahawks holding “more fierce competition” than the 49ers in training camp.
.@RobertKlemko comparing @49ers camp to @Seahawks camp "..more hitting in Seattle, more fierce competition…not as hard hitting for SF.."
