Dabo Swinney showed absolutely no mercy by publicly ripping into Clemson kicker B.T. Potter late in the second quarter for a missed kick.
Clemson’s defense set up the offense for a score with an interception deep in Florida State territory, setting Potter up for a 24-yard attempt. He missed.
That’s when Swinney lost his marbles on the sideline, ranting and raving before finally going straight to Potter to eviscerate him, face to face.
Really, this is a bad look. Swinney can be as angry as he wants about a missed opportunity. But the Tigers were up 28-0 at this point, and there was no reason to lambaste the poor kid like that in front of the team, the stadium, and everyone watching at home.
