Anthony Davis MRI on thumb comes back clean, per report

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis got positive news Monday as an MRI of his right thumb injury came back clean, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

This is the best possible news and confirms previous reports that indicated Davis had suffered a Grade 1 sprain of his right thumb.

This also means that Davis should be ready for the team’s season opener on Oct. 22 against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Staples Center.
