Tulsa has been struggling early against Michigan State Friday night. Midway through the second quarter, already down by 13 points, the Golden Hurricanes lost even more ground.
The team and its fans watched in horror as their center snapped a wild ball (not his first) from shotgun that sailed over the head of quarterback Zach Smith, and out of the end zone for a safety.
Things got off to a really bad start when a Tulsa defender laid into Brian Lewerke out of bounds, leading to an eventual touchdown on Michigan State’s opening possession. It has not improved since, and on Tulsa’s next possession they gave up a defensive touchdown to go down even more on the scoreboard.
Needless to say, the Spartans appear destined for an easy win.
