Raiders stunningly waiving 'Hard Knocks' star Keelan Doss, per report

The Oakland Raiders are making a surprise cut Saturday, letting “Hard Knocks” star receiver Keelan Doss go after a tremendous summer of work.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network broke this stunning news Saturday, noting the Raiders want to see if they can keep Doss on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Doss made a name for himself during Senior Bowl week earlier this year. He followed that up with a stellar preseason that saw him catch 17 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown.

Here’s a prediction: Oakland will not have Doss on its practice squad this year. The UC Davis star will quickly be picked up by another team looking to upgrade its receiving corps.
