One of the big news stories that broke ahead of the draft is that Marshawn Lynch is retiring once more. Only, a very important person disagrees with that.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday morning that Lynch was planning on calling it a career for a second time, citing league sources.
Hours later, Vic Tafur of The Athletic shared skepticism over that report, indicating he is “going to hold off” until he hears it “from the Beast’s mouth” and noting he needs to see the Raiders draft a running back before ruling out Lynch’s return to Oakland.
Delisa Lynch, proud mom of Marshawn Lynch, seconded “all that.”
It’s never a sure thing until Lynch says it is.
So, until he says he’s retired, we’re not buying it.
