Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is the gift that keeps on giving. He’s a true national treasure. He must be protected at all cost.
In the lead up to his team’s Super Bowl LIII matchup against the New England Patriots, Phillips showed us exactly why he might be the funniest man in the NFL.
Being interviewed by Rams cornerback Aqib Talib during Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, Phillips was asked when he knew this whole defensive coordinator thing might work out.
His response should be in the Smithsonian.
So @sonofbum is still the greatest thing in like ever. #LARams #Super Bowl

“I been popping since my demo, baby.”
Word just can’t describe how amazing the 71-year-old Phillips is. He’ll go out there one second and play the part of a millianial. The next second, he’s out here rocking a cowboy hat and a fur coat — an homage to his late-great father.
Just amazing stuff, Wade.
