Coming off a tough loss to the Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 11-ranked Kentucky Wildcats had a great chance to recover against a four-win Tennessee Volunteers team. Instead, the Wildcats came into Knoxville and got crushed by the Volunteers.
Frankly, Kentucky didn’t ever seem to have a chance in this game. Tennessee jumped out to a 17-0 lead by halftime and the Wildcats even found themselves down by 24 midway through the third quarter.
Facing a Tennessee program at the very start of a program rebuild, Kentucky found itself outmatched and outworked in every single aspect of the game. Ultimately, it ended in a brutal 24-7 loss.
Following Tennessee’s shocking win over the Wildcats, Twitter erupted as the final seconds ticked away and No. 11 Kentucky fell in humiliating fashion.
Not surprised that Kentucky is losing. Last week was the biggest game of their season. They probably would've been in this situation whether they won or not
