The New York Jets will likely have to endure another game without star rookie quarterback Sam Darnold under center, as he remained out of practice early on Friday.
Josh McCown and Davis Webb were the only quarterbacks throwing passes in early individual drills, giving the impression that Darnold will not play Sunday against the New England Patriots.
McCown and Webb still throwing all passes in early individual drills. Doesn’t appear that Darnold will be practicing today – or playing Sunday. #Jets

Darnold is dealing with a foot injury that he suffered against the Miami Dolphins in the team’s first game in November.
The rookie had been having a rough go of it in his most recent games. He leads the NFL with 14 interceptions, with half that number coming in his last three starts.
If Darnold is unable to play again, then the Jets will roll with veteran Josh McCown under center. He wasn’t sharp in his last start against Buffalo, completing just half his passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions.
