The Green Bay Packers travel well, as fans flock to their road games no matter where they play. They also draw a high volume of television viewers.
This can be seen clearly after Thursday night’s game in Seattle against the Seahawks drew the highest overnight rating for “Thursday Night Football” in nearly two years.
Packers-Seahawks nailbiter last night drew an 11.9 overnight rating, marking Fox's best "Thursday Night Football" game so far this season. Also best "TNF" overnight since Cowboys-Vikes in Week 13 in 2016 on NBC. Best for any Fox Thursday night telecast in at least 5 years

This isn’t just a one-night trend, either. As we’ve noted previously, the NFL is far from falling off a cliff in terms of popularity.
In fact, ratings have been up across the board over the course of the season.
NFL getting really close to showing growth across all days of the schedule. Year to year overnight trend through last night:
FOX Thursday: -2%
FOX Sunday: +2%
CBS Sunday: +4%
NBC Sunday: +11%
ESPN Monday: +5%— Michael Mulvihill (@mulvihill79) November 16, 2018
Of course, last night’s game was highly competitive throughout and came down to the end before the outcome was decided, which helps keep viewers glued to the tube.
