Louisville defender celebrates big hit, losing by 46 to Clemson, before being ejected for targeting

The Louisville football program is in shambles this year in the wake of Lamar Jackson leaving for the NFL, and James Burgess put a cherry on top of this crap sundae on Saturday against Clemson.

Down by 46 points in the third quarter, Burgess blew up a return man and proceeded to celebrate like he made the play of the year. Right before being ejected for targeting on the play.

Here’s a close-up view of the hit, which absolutely was correctly called as targeting.

The Cardinals are a walking disaster. This play really does highlight that fact to perfection.
