Fans and players alike have had to sit through numerous weather delays during Sunday’s Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins game. But at least they’ve gotten to see history.
Factoring the delays, the game in Miami broke the record for the longest in NFL history, passing a 2013 game between the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears.
Titans-Dolphins in Miami — which still is suspended due to weather — is now the longest game in NFL history, per @EliasSports, beating Bears-Ravens in 11/17/13 (5 hour, 16 mins).

Obviously, many of the fans who went out to the game in Miami have since left. But some fans remained at Hard Rock Stadium.

It’s indeed been a war of attrition. We certainly don’t blame those who did leave. But we have to give special praise to the fans who remained.
