Jerry Jones’ presence at a Beyoncé concert in AT&T Stadium Tuesday night was no real big surprise. The Dallas Cowboys’ owner frequents many events at Jerry’s World. It’s who he hung out with that should be considered a surprise. None other than former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant.
TMZ Sports has all the juicy details.
“Dez and the Cowboys owner were sitting in the same VIP box at AT&T Stadium and the two looked to be on good terms,” the site reported.
When asked about his relationship with Jones, Bryant indicated that the two “were never on bad terms.”
Really? Based on the back and forth between Bryant and his former Cowboys teammates, that seems to be a bit of a stretch. Heck, Bryant himself has called out the organization multiple times.
It might be too early to read a lot into this. Dallas is coming off a Week 1 performance in which the team scored just eight points against the Carolina Panthers. Bryant himself remains a free agent since being released by the Cowboys during the spring. The math adds up a bit here.
Either way, it was cerinaly an odd pairing for a Beyoncé concert. That’s for sure.
