Nate Orchard’s quest to make the Cleveland Browns has been prominently featured in this season’s “Hard Knocks.” On Thursday, he came through with a play that will help his cause.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Cassel tried to throw the ball over Orchard’s head, but Orchard wouldn’t let that happen. Only, rather than knock the ball to the ground or even up in the air, Orchard caught it clean. He then went 64 yards for a pick-six.

The play (and ensuing two-point conversion) gave the Browns a 25-0 lead, putting a stamp on what was a dominant first half for the Browns.
As far as Orchard goes, time will tell if this helps him make Cleveland’s roster. But if it doesn’t, every other team in the league saw what the “Hard Knocks” star did and is no doubt impressed.
