Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield had himself quite the NFL debut Thursday evening against the New York Giants.
The reigning Heisman winner completed 11-of-20 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Check out the scoring strikes here and here.
After his initial touchdown, tight end David Njoku tossed the ball into the stands to give a lucky fan on hand at the Meadowlands a souvenir.
In typical fashion, said Giants fan rejected the ball and tossed it back on to the field.

That’s just great. It could also be seen one of two ways. Why not keep the ball? It’s certainly a story to tell others. On the other hand, that Giants fan showed himself to be a true faithful.
He wasn’t about to accept anything from the road team, even in a meaningless preseason game. Well done.
