Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zack Greinke will now have to clear his schedule for All-Star weekend.
On Thursday, Greinke learned he is replacing Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester on the National League’s All-Star roster.
Zack Greinke just walked in the clubhouse and said "Big news everybody!" and then walked to his locker.
Torey Lovullo followed to say that Greinke is replacing Jon Lester on the NL All-Star team.

Lester had to give up the spot because he will be starting the Sunday before All-Star week, which means he won’t be available to pitch during the game.
Greinke, who has a 3.39 ERA and 117 strikeouts in 114 innings this season, will be an All-Star for the fifth time in his career. This is the second time the 34-year-old has made it in consecutive years.
