While the Cleveland Indians sit comfortably atop the American League Central, their roster remains in need of significant additions to compete for a World Series. One area Cleveland is looking to upgrade is the outfield and it appears they’ve found a target.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Indians have engaged in dialogue with the Baltimore Orioles about several of their players. Baltimore, one of the biggest sellers this season, have several intriguing options to offer Cleveland.

Jones would provide a needed outfield upgrade for the Indians and add another excellent clubhouse presence. While Cleveland’s lineup is already strong up front with Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez, Jones could slide into center field and add another stable bat to the lineup.
Cleveland could also explore trade packages with Jones and shortstop Manny Machado or Jones and left-handed closer Zach Britton. Given Cleveland’s depth in the farm system is in pitching, this could be the perfect fit for both teams.
