One of the most inspirational people we’ve had the pleasure of covering, Shaquem Griffin was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks with the 141st pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Now the young man who is the twin of Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin (and just so happens to have just one hand) gets to join his sibling on the Seahawks and continue to live out his dream.
It was quite a weekend overall for Griffin, who also inked an endorsement deal with Nike on Friday.
He’s a player who has the support of the masses, too. People all over social media were exuberant that he was picked up in Round 5 by Seattle.
Congrats to @Shaquemgriffin !!!!! Truly an inspiration man. !!!! 🙏🏾

There are tears here in #Seahawks headquarters minutes after they drafted Shaquem Griffin, reuniting him with twin brother Shaquill in Seattle and making Shaquem the first one-handed player drafted into modern NFL. @thenewstribune

Yes! UCF's Shaquem Griffin, the one-handed outside linebacker, goes early in 5th round to Seahawks. I am SO rooting for this young man. What an inspiration.
