Jay Cutler had initially retired to join the Fox broadcasting booth last offseason. But once Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill went down with a torn ACL, the veteran quarterback decided to make a move to South Beach.
Cutler would ultimately start 14 games for the Dolphins, throwing 19 touchdowns compared to 14 interceptions en route to leading the team to a 6-8 record.
He’s now calling it quits for a second time. Potentially, for good.
Speaking of future TV stars, ex-#Dolphins QB Jay Cutler is expected to retire (again), as well. He may be coming to a reality show near you, as will his wife. And of course, there is the Fox interest to join the broadcast booth.

Cutler, 34, was a first-round pick of the Denver Broncos back in 2006. He acted as a starter for 12 NFL seasons. That included an eight-year stint with the Chicago Bears.
As Ian Rapoport notes, there could be a future in reality television for Cutler and his wife. What exactly that means remains to be seen. What we do know is that Cutler’s wife was not keen on him returning to the NFL next season. She now apparently has her wish with Jay entering retirement again.
