The storyline of the NFL offseason has become whether the New York Giants will actually trade Odell Beckham Jr., and Todd Gurley knows the Los Angeles Rams would welcome a player of that caliber.
According to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Gurley called Beckham “my guy” and said there’s always enough snaps to go around.
“If we had him, man, it would be awesome. I’d be happy, [Jared] Goff will be happy, coach [Sean] McVay will be happy, [owner Stan] Kroenke, the whole team would be.”
Although the Giants have repeatedly they’re not actively shopping Beckham, the executives haven’t flat-out said he’ll be on the roster in 2018, either. It’s simply “as of now” type of comments.
Los Angeles has been extremely active during the offseason, laughing at salary-cap caution and acquiring as much talent as possible.
The Rams have traded for Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib and signed Ndamukong Suh. They’re reportedly made their first-round pick available to the Giants for Beckham, too.
Gurley would love to add Beckham, and the All-Pro running back can be confident his team is pursuing the discussions.
