The Baltimore Ravens’ offseason has not gotten off to the best of starts, and it has nothing to do with injuries or anything of that ilk.
Last year’s first-round pick, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, finds himself in some major hot water off the field in his native Alabama. The talented young defensive back was arrested and booked on robbery charges by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s department (h/t Pro Football Talk).
PFT had this to say about the specific charge.
“The felony charge applies in cases when the alleged perpetrator uses or threatens force against the owner of the property or another party present at the time of the robbery.”
While no official information is available at this time, one reports suggests that it could simply have been a misunderstanding between Humphrey and an Uber driver.
From a good source with knowledge of the situation, they are saying that Marlon accidentally took a phone charger from an Uber driver’s car when he got out and now driver has filed charges. May be more info coming but this is what we are hearing right now.

The incident apparently occurred a week ago this past Saturday on campus at Alabama.
From the police report, it looks like Marlon Humphrey is accused of stealing a phone charger at a hotel at 3:19 a.m. Jan. 13. Waiting to hear from police whether I'm actually reading this right: pic.twitter.com/wbEhmzUVYJ

We will obviously have more information as it becomes available.
