DeMarcus Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on Friday night, opening up a roster spot in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game. The NBA announced on Saturday that Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder will be the man replacing him.
NBA announces that Paul George gets the All-Star replacement nod after DeMarcus Cousins' injury last night. This is the right move.

Many felt George should have been voted in to begin with, so as Sam Amick mentions, it is the right move.
The forward hasn’t been as much of a go-to scorer this year as he has in the past couple of seasons, due to the fact he’s taken a back seat to Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. Still, nobody can deny that George is worth of the All-Star bid. He’s averaged 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, three assists and 2.2 steals per game for the Thunder this year.
