Warriors targeting Saturday return for Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry

Out since December 4th with a sprained ankle, the Golden State Warriors are expecting to get two-time MVP Stephen Curry back soon.

General manager Bob Myers noted on Wednesday that Curry is unlikely to play Friday night against his hometown Charlotte Hornets, primarily because it’s the front end of a back-to-back.

Now we’re getting a more concrete timeline for Curry’s potential return. Head coach Steve Kerr noted on Thursday that the team is targeting Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies for Curry’s return from the ankle injury.

With Curry out of the lineup the past three-plus weeks, Golden State really hasn’t missed a beat. It manhandled Utah to the tune of 126-101 on Wednesday night and has won nine of 10 without Curry in the lineup.
