Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is in the midst of what could potentially be a history-making season. His Steelers squad also entered Sunday’s game against the defending champion Patriots riding an eight-game winning streak.
Unfortunately for both the star pass catcher and his team, he had to exit in the first half with what originally looked to be foot injury (more on that here).
We now have more information. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Brown suffered some sort of a calf injury and is at the hospital for further evaluation. Obviously, he won’t be back in the second half.

For the Steelers’ sake, let’s hope this is not a long-term injury. Brown entered Week 15’s action having caught 99 passes for 1,509 yards.
We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
