A report came out earlier on Sunday that the Seattle Seahawks were dangling Jimmy Graham as trade bait in exchange for an upgrade at left tackle.
Whether it’s a way to create leverage in a potential trade or something completely else, a new report now indicates that Graham won’t in fact be traded.
I'm told the Seahawks are not dealing Jimmy Graham

This could very well be an example of Seahawks sources taking to an NFL insider as a way to push their agenda. If everyone knows Graham is up on the chopping block, the value Seattle receives in a return would be lowered a great deal.
It’s not a secret that Graham hasn’t been the same All Pro caliber player in the Pacific Northwest that he was in New Orleans. Even then, the soon-to-be free agent is a dynamic receiving threat. The tight end has recorded 24 receptions for 230 yards thus far this season.
On the other hand, Seattle is in desperate need of an upgrade at left tackle. The team’s offensive line continues to be one of the worst in the NFL in pass protection. If the Seahawks could potently turn Graham into an upgrade there, it’s something the team will have to think long and hard about.
The NFL trade deadline is this upcoming Tuesday.
