Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline did not pass without yet another huge trade around the league. On the heels of the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo, Jay Ajayi and Duane Brown being dealt, comes this doozy.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers have shockingly traded No. 1 receiver Kelvin Benjamin to the Buffalo Bills.

To say that this came out of left field should be a dramatic understatement. Benjamin had built up a strong relationship with former NFL MVP Cam Newton. A former first-round pick, the big-bodied receiver entered Week 9 having caught 32 passes for 475 yards.
Needless to say, Carolina wasn’t too confident in its ability to retain the youngster beyond his rookie contract. And for the Bills, they get another receiver to team up with the recently acquired Jordan Matthews on offense. It’s a clear indication the team is going all in following a 5-2 start to the season.
It’s not yet known what Carolina has received in return. We’ll have further updates as they become available.
