Report: Bills trade Cardale Jones to Chargers

Cardale Jones

Well, so much for that Robert Griffin III workout in Los Angeles. The Chargers have reportedly traded for Cardale Jones, who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills last year.

Jones was selected in the fourth round out of Ohio State last year but struggled with accuracy right out of the gate. He was already reportedly on his way out early this spring, so rather than cut him the Bills were able to land a conditional late-round pick.

In limited action last year, Jones completed just 54.5 percent of his passes with no touchdowns and one interception. He’ll fight for a backup job behind Philip Rivers along with Kellen Clements, Mike Bercovici and Eli Jenkins.
