It’s now officially the Los Angeles Chargers.
The team and owner Dean Spanos released a statement Thursday morning officially confirming that they have uprooted from San Diego to Los Angeles.

In part, the statement read.
“After much deliberation, I have made the decision to relocate the Chargers to Los Angeles, beginning with the 2017 NFL season.”
Reports surfaced late Wednesday night that the Chargers would announce their relocation as early as Thursday. They surely didn’t waste any time doing so.
It will most definitely be interesting to see how a two-team market plays out in Los Angeles when the city didn’t have even one NFL team for 20-plus seasons.
