Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams isn’t ruling out wearing a cup for Game 4 on Tuesday night.
Why would a basketball player consider wearing a cup, you ask?
Adams has been knocked in the jewels once in each of the past two games against the Golden State Warriors, with Draymond Green being the culprit both times.
A reporter asked him if he’d consider wearing a cup, probably as a joke, but Adams wouldn’t turn down the idea out of hand.
Adams on if he’s talked to trainer about wearing a cup: “Not yet. Probably going to consider it, though, due to the consistency of the hits"

It’s hard to know if Adams is being serious or if he, too, is joking back. Based on how his undercarriage must feel, we’re betting it’s the former.
Of course, his decision might ultimately end up having something to do with whether or not Green ends up suspended for his second kick to the gonads in Game 3. The NBA is currently holding everyone hostage on this ruling as it wrestles with the simple fact that Green has a proven history of kicking his legs up without trying to kick players in the groin.
I actually have 140 clips of him doing this..sometimes he kicks when no one is there..random forward..backward kicks pic.twitter.com/gNRuQQWaXS

Don’t think for a second that Adams and the Thunder buy this “excuse,” though. Russell Westbrook has accused Green of kicking Adams in the groin on purpose — something he adamantly denied while throwing some shade Westbrook’s way.
