Stephen Curry sent out a tremendous amount of respect to Kevin Durant Friday.
Via Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Curry praised the character of the superstar who’ll be standing directly in the way of a repeat championship:
Steph Curry on KD: "He's a great dude off the court..He's always been cool to me & a real down-to-earth kind of guy. I would vouch for him."

Curry and the Golden State Warriors are about to start a seven-game series with Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Whichever team comes out of the Western Conference Final will be just four games away from winning the NBA title after a long and arduous season.
Before the action begins on the court (series begins Monday, May 16 in Oakland), Curry’s statement could be construed as a subtle pre-free-agency nod, nod, wink, wink. After the dust settles, come to California and help us continue to dominate.
After all, Durant has been linked to the Warriors in the past.
But likely, given the way Curry tends wear his heart on his sleeve, he’s just honoring a friend.
They won’t like one another very much once the ball goes in the air next Monday night at Oracle Arena. For what it’s worth, the Warriors swept the Thunder during the regular season.
