To cheat or not to cheat. This has been a hot topic in sports in light of Deflategate and the recent Wells report findings concerning New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady.
Supporting the cheating side of the “argument,” former NBA player John Salley had some interesting comments to share to TMZ Sports:
If you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t tryin’.
While Salley appears to be cool with cheating, he does have a bone to pick with Patriots locker room attendant, Jim McNally. That’s also where the interview got good.
If the QB says make the balls lighter and then the guy who’s supposed to be be doing it is sending texts and tweets? He’s the (expletive). Everybody on that team is a part of the team. Everybody plays a role … the fact that [McNally] put all that (expletive) out … he’s a (expletive) to me.
Basically, Salley is saying McNally should have just done his job and shut up. In addition to Brady’s situation, Salley also made references to other sports where he believes the rules may have been bent a bit to tweak the outcome.
