The Atlanta Falcons were absolutely ravaged by injury last season. Once the disastrous campaign came to an end, those within the organization were looking forward to a clean slate heading into the 2014 offseason.
Unfortunately, the Falcons have been hit by the injury bug once again.
Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon ruptured his Achilles today and will miss the 2014 season.

This is horrible news for a defense that was looking to pick it up from a down season in 2013. After adding a bunch of defensive linemen earlier in the offseason, Atlanta looked ready to improve a great deal on that side of the ball.
Unfortunately, it will now be without one of the mainstays of that defense for the entire 2014 season.
