It was definitely trending in this direction. But until the official list of inactives came out Sunday morning, some were holding out hope that Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota would be able to go Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins.
That’s not going to be the case. Ahead of its tilt with the Dolphins, Tennessee ruled Mariota out of the game with a pulled hamstring. Veteran Matt Cassel will start in his stead.

Considering Tennessee added a veteran quarterback during the week, the writing seemed to be on the wall here. And it’s most definitely not good for a team that sits at 2-2 through the quarter mark of the season.
Mariota, who has missed the tail end of each of his first two NFL seasons, pulled up lame in the second half of last week’s embarrassing 57-14 loss to Houston. Cassel responded by throwing two picks on 10 attempts in his stead.
