While there have been rumblings that the Toronto Blue Jays might be open to trading Bo Bichette or Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in July, a new report claims the organization has already been in discussions with teams about a blockbuster deal.
Heading into the MLB games today, the Blue Jays are dead-last in the American League East Standings with a record of 21-26. They have lost four of their last six and after back-to-back trips to the playoffs, things are not looking great for Toronto’s chances of a third straight trip to the postseason.

Even if players like Bo Bichette, Daulton Varsho, and George Springer can get out of their early season slumps and get back on the right track, the team has the bad luck of being in the same division as two of the best teams in baseball, the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles.
That is why there have already been rumblings the Blue Jays could be sellers before the July 30 MLB trade deadline, and they certainly have several players that would draw a lot of interest around the league. The most notable of which are young stars Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. However, there have been many who question if the organization would move the two building blocks despite both being free agents after 2025.
Toronto Blue Jays have a ‘ridiculous’ asking price for Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. trade
However, a new report suggests conversations have already started about deals for the pair of homegrown All-Stars.
“I don’t think they’re opposed to it,” an executive told MLB.com league insider Mark Feinsand Tuesday. “They’ve talked to teams about it. The asks were ridiculous, but I think they’re going to try to retool a lot, and using those guys to get pieces may be the way to do it.”
That is a big revelation about where the Toronto Blue Jays are at over two months out from the MLB trade deadline and where they see their season going since they have already had early discussions about trading a pair of players that were seen as building blocks of their team heading into the 2024 season.
