NFL Week 7 is already here and it’s time to get those DraftKings lineups in place. So, let’s take a look at some DraftKings value plays as well as some overrated picks that simply are not worth your time this week.
Will the highest-priced DraftKings quarterback deliver the goods against the NFL’s worst pass defense? How about an NFC North quarterback who has a dream matchup with another one of the league’s most forgiving pass defenses?
From these value picks to an overrated top wide receiver who really deserves to play on a better team to an AFC quarterback nursing an injured shoulder, you might be surprised about our best DraftKings Week 7 picks and some players slated to come up short.

DraftKings Week 7 picks: Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs, $8,300
Mahomes should be worth every penny spent in DraftKings in Week 7 at home playing the LA Chargers. Simply stated, the Chargers couldn’t stop a turtle from crossing the road and they rank dead last in giving up passing yards. Mahomes is on par for a massive fantasy outing.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers, $5,800
Those wanting more of a value play at QB in Week 7 might consider starting Love. At this salary, Love plays in Denver against a Broncos defense that has yielded the most DraftKings points (23.2) and 14 passing TDs in six games.
Sam Howell, Washington Commanders, $5,500
Howell makes for an affordable DraftKings QB playing at the home of the New York Giants in Week 7. The Giants’ offense is an utter wreck and struggles to stay on the field. This should afford Howell and Co. plenty of opportunities to rack up yards and hopefully, multiple TDs which all equate to fantasy points. At this price, Howell offers plenty of appeal.
DraftKings Week 7 picks: Running Backs
Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders, $7,400
As the third-highest-priced RB in DraftKings in Week 7, Jacobs has an excellent matchup against the Chicago Bears. To date, the Bears have awarded the fourth-most DraftKings fantasy points to opposing RBs. Look for the Raiders to lean heavily on Jacobs with Jimmy Garoppolo ruled out against Chicago.
Kenneth Walker, Seattle Seahawks, $7,000
At this DraftKings salary, Walker is a sweet value play in Week 7 at home against the Cardinals. The Cardinals aren’t stopping much these days and have allowed the third-most fantasy points to their RBs. Look for Walker to exploit the heck out of this fantasy matchup.
Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos, $5,400
Not very impressive at all this season, Williams is a sleeper value play in DraftKings at this ultra-cheap salary. Look for Williams to take advantage when the Bears come to town. Chicago has been fourth-worst in defending running backs which sets Williams up for a high-scoring outing. No more excuses.
Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots, $4,800
For this price, Elliott is a smooth DFS play in Week 7 going up against Buffalo on his home turf. The Bills have ceded the eighth-most DraftKings RB points on the season. Plus, fellow back, Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) could be limited. Keep an eye on Stevenson’s status and if it’s not looking good, slide Elliott into that lineup to save a bunch of salary.
Latavius Murray, Buffalo Bills, $4,400
Latavius Murray heads into his Week 7 matchup against New England dirty cheap on DraftKings. Playing behind James Cook, Murray — with Damien Harris out –will see increased touches and potentially the goal line work. If Josh Allen (shoulder) isn’t playing at 100%, the Bills will lean more on their run game.
DraftKings Week 7 picks: Wide Receivers
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers, $8,600
Third-highest priced receiver in DraftKings, Allen is a Week 7 value play at Kansas City. The Chargers are likely going to have to throw plenty to keep pace with the Chiefs, as was the case for Allen in his last game against Dallas. He was targeted a team-high 11 times and we don’t see this changing as the Chargers attempt to beat their AFC West rivals this Sunday.
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams, $7,600
Look for Nacua — priced $1,900 less than Cooper Kupp — to bounce back in Week 7. Nacua is a good play facing a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Those rolling with Nacua can only hope Pittsburgh spends its efforts in limiting Kupp.
Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders, $4,000
Cheaply stacking Curtis Samuel with Sam Howell in DraftKings in Week 7 could pay off. Samuel has scored back-to-back TDs over his last two games and the Commanders appear to have wideout Jahan Dotson working with special teams. If this remains the case, Samuel’s targets will increase. Facing a bumbling Giants offense should only help.
Rondale Moore, Arizona Cardinals, $3,500
Sneaking Rondale Moore in as a value play at WR in DraftKings might just reward you. The Cardinals head to Seattle to play a Seahawks defense that has yielded the most WR fantasy points on the season. Note that Moore last received a season-high seven targets. Without James Conner on the field, the Cards should continue to air things out.
DraftKings Week 7 picks: Tight Ends
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens, $5,700
Don’t skimp and start Andrews at TE in your Week 7 DraftKings lineups. Andrews has a fabulous matchup at home against a Detroit defense that is currently giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Andrews’ production should far exceed his salary.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons, $4,000
With Pitts hot, ride with him as a fantastic Week 7 value play at this cheap price. Pitts last scored a touchdown and has recorded 17 targets for 130 yards over his last two games. Even playing against a tougher defense at Tampa Bay, the value Pitts offers at this price is hard to ignore.
DraftKings overrated plays Week 7
Quarterbacks:
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills,$8,200
At this steep of a DraftKings salary, Allen is an overrated Week 7 play. Playing with a dinged-up shoulder and facing a road game against New England, there are better DFS plays at quarterback in Week 7. The Patriots’ defense has been tough and it has allowed the sixth-fewest DraftKings QB fantasy points thus far.
Running Backs:
Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles, Chargers, $8,200
As the highest-priced RB in DraftKings in Week 7, Ekeler is a dicey DFS play. Returning after multiple weeks of nursing an ankle injury, Ekeler last dropped a dud (62 total yards). Next, he plays on the road in KC squaring off with a Chiefs defense that has awarded the fifth-fewest RB fantasy points. This is far from ideal.
Wide Receivers:
Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders, $8,200
Sadly, Davante Adams is an overrated DraftKings play in Week 7 heading to Chicago. Typically matchup and quarterback-proof, Adams has had a couple of stinkers in his last two games. With the quarterback situation in Vegas sketchy for Sunday (Brian Hoyer starting) and playing with a slight shoulder injury, look elsewhere for a top DFS wide receiver option.
Tight Ends:
Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions, $5,300
If you’re tempted to start Sam LaPorta in Week 7, hold that thought. While impressive overall this season, LaPorta will face the Baltimore Ravens defense which is No. 1 against opposing tight ends. The Ravens have stingily allowed only 24.5 TE yards on average per game and zero TE touchdowns.
