Who are the NFL sack leaders for the 2024 season? We know how important the pass rush position is in today’s quarterback-driven league.

T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers led in this category with 19 sacks a season ago. Jacksonville Jaguars star Josh Allen was second with 17.5. Both should be near the top again in 2024. We’ll be updating this for the 2024 season.

The Vikings didn’t flinch after losing Danielle Hunter to the Texans in free agency. They quickly spent an average of $19 million per year to land Jonathan Greenard, who now not only has his second double-digit sack season in a row, he’s on pace for a new career-high in sacks.

Two three-sack performances have catapulted Myles Garrett back into this year’s NFL sack leaders. He suddenly has seven consecutive seasons with double-digit sacks, displaying why he’s one of the best edge rushers in the NFL today.

He may be on a new team, but Danielle Hunter’s not done terrorizing quarterbacks just because he plays for the Houston Texans instead of the Minnesota Vikings. The former fourth-round pick has clinched his third consecutive double-digit sack season and his sixth overall. He could very well end up with a gold jacket and a bronze bust in the Canton Pro Football Hall of Fame someday.

It’s no surprise to see the three-time Pro Bowler on this list again after Trey Hendrickson finished second in the NFL with 17.5 sacks last season. Hendrickson’s here thanks to a pair of two-sack performances, plus an incredible four-sack game against the Raiders. If he can keep stringing together performances like this, he’ll be a mainstay among the NFL’s sack leaders all year long.
