The 2023 NFL season is underway with football fans tuning in every Thursday, Sunday and Monday to watch some of their favorite teams. While NFL Sunday Ticket is gaining popularity, the NFL coverage map is a guide that all football fans need.
While every NFL game is on television, many are on at the same time. As a result, TV networks and league officials agree to have certain teams broadcasted in certain markets. The NFL TV map shows you what games are being played in your area. The NFL broadcast map changes each week and we’ll provide you with updates throughout the season.

Let’s dive into the NFL TV map for Week 5. We’ve also included kickoff times, networks and broadcaster information. The NFL broadcast maps are via 506sports.com.
NFL coverage map Week 5: Early games
There will be seven games in the early half of the Week 5 schedule, with those matchups between 14 teams broken up into being broadcasted on CBS, NFL Network and FOX. Here’s the NFL TV map for Week 5 on Sunday’s early slate.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills – 9:30 AM ET – NFL Network – Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner
Kicking off Sunday’s Week 5 NFL action is the second game of the NFL International Series. After the Atlanta Falcons vs Jacksonville Jaguars game in London was broadcast on ESPN+ and Disney+ last week, this Week 5 matchup between the Jaguars vs Bills will be on NFL Network at 9:30 AM ET.
NFL broadcast map: CBS early games Week 5
Color | Matchup | Channel | Time | Broadcasters |
RED | Ravens @ Steelers | CBS | 1:00 PM ET | Ian Eagle, Charles Davis |
PURPLE | Saints @ Patriots | CBS | 1:00 PM ET | Kevin Harlan, Trent Green |
ORANGE | Titans @ Colts | CBS | 1:00 PM ET | Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta |
Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers – CBS – 1:00 PM ET – Ian Eagle, Charles Davis
While rivalry games are always tough, this one feels like it could be one-sided. The Baltimore Ravens are healthy for the first time in 2023, with two starters back on the offensive line. It should allow Lamar Jackson to have enough time to throw, which means funneling Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews and Odell Beckham Jr. targets against a bottom-five Steelers’ secondary. On the other side, Baltimore’s defense should have no trouble erasing a majority of what Steelers’ offensive coordinator Matt Canada tries.

New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots – CBS – 1:00 PM ET – Kevin Harlan, Trent Green
It’s safe to call Sunday’s Saints vs Patriots matchup one of the worst games in Week 5. New Orleans will start quarterback Derek Carr, who is playing through a shoulder surgery that essentially limited him to throws under 10 yards last week. Meanwhile, the Patriots’ offense is one of the worst in the NFL and their defense is depleted by injuries. If there are other games to watch in your area, do it.
Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts – CBS – 1:00 PM ET – Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta
There likely won’t be an abundance of points on Sunday when the Titans and Colts take the field. Tennessee will dial up the pressure on Anthony Richardson, testing the rookie quarterback and the Colts offensive line. One thing we do expect, even if there aren’t a lot of touchdowns, is for Richardson and Ryan Tannehill to enjoy plenty of success through the air as they each face two of the NFL’s worst pass defenses.

NFL TV map Week 5: FOX early and late window
Color | Matchup | Channel | Time | Broadcasters |
GREEN | Panthers @ Lions | FOX | 1:00 PM ET | Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston |
YELLOW | Texans @ Falcons | FOX | 1:00 PM ET | Brandon Gaudin, Mark Schlereth |
BLUE | Giants @ Dolphins | FOX | 1:00 PM ET | Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma |
RED | Eagles @ Rams | FOX | 4:05 PM ET | Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen |
ORANGE | Bengals @ Cardinals | FOX | 4:05 PM ET | Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez |
Cincinnati Bengals vs Arizona Cardinals – FOX – 4:05 PM ET – Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez
For whatever reason, the Cincinnati Bengals are favored even as the road team in Week 5. The first four games of the NFL season should’ve demonstrated that the Arizona Cardinals are the better football team right now. While that changes dramatically if Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins were fully healthy, Sunday’s Week 5 matchup could be the final evidence needed for the Bengals to realize this just isn’t their year.
Carolina Panthers vs Detroit Lions – FOX – 1:00 PM ET – Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston
With Bryce Young off to the worst start of the top rookie quarterbacks, the Carolina Panthers will be implying things again. While it might ease things slightly, it also further handcuffs the offense and doesn’t change the fact that Carolina’s supporting cast is one of the worst in the NFL. Even without Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, the Detroit Lions should win this one by at least a touchdown.
New York Giants vs Miami Dolphins – FOX – 1:00 PM ET – Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma
It’s difficult to imagine a worse matchup for the New York Giants. Taking the field on Sunday without Saquon Barkley and three offensive linemen is another devastating blow for this offense. To make matters worse, the Miami Dolphins are the last NFL team you want to get into a shootout with. We’re not expecting a 70-20 game, but this Giants vs Dolphins matchup has blowout written all over it. With enough games in the 1 PM window, it wouldn’t be a surprise if FOX switches to a more competitive game on Sunday afternoon.
Houston Texans vs Atlanta Falcons – FOX – 1:00 PM ET – Brandon Gaudin, Mark Schlereth
If you want to watch highlight plays, the Houston Texans vs Atlanta Falcons battle is the choice for you. Houston is still allowing nearly 120 rushing yards per game to opponents with a 4.4 yards per carry average and seven rushing touchdowns in four contests. That’s a perfect draw for Bijan Robinson, who is proving to be one of the NFL’s best running backs. When C.J. Stroud has the football, expect the Texans’ rookie quarterback to slice up a Falcons’ secondary that welcomes passers to attack it.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Los Angeles Rams – FOX – 4:05 PM ET – Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen
Outside of the nationally televised games, the Philadelphia Eagles vs Los Angeles Rams matchup is one of the best NFL games this weekend. Los Angeles welcomes back Cooper Kupp, meaning Matthew Stafford will have two outstanding receivers to attack an Eagles’ secondary that is hemorrhaging passing yards this season. However, the Eagles’ offense is better and Philadephia’s pass rush should be the difference-maker in the outcome.
Week 5 NFL coverage map: CBS late afternoon
Color | Matchup | Channel | Time | Broadcasters |
RED | Chiefs @ Vikings | CBS | 4:25 PM ET | Jim Nantz, Tony Romo |
BLUE | Jets @ Broncos | CBS | 4:25 PM ET | Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan |
Kansas City Chiefs vs Minnesota Vikings – CBS – 4:25 PM ET – Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
One of the best games in NFL Week 5 is the Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars. In what could be one of the highest-scoring games on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce face one of the worst defenses in the NFL. On the other side, Minnesota hopes to avoid a 1-4 start that would prove crippling to their playoff hopes.
New York Jets vs Denver Broncos – CBS = 4:25 PM ET – Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber
While most of the country watches the Chiefs @ Vikings game, others will be locked into the New York Jets vs Denver Broncos. While Denver is coming off its first win of the season, the Broncos’ defense is historically bad and it could provide Jets’ quarterback Zach Wilson with an opportunity for a breakout game.
