But the real reason we should trust the Chiefs to be one of the Super Bowl finalists is because they’ve done this before. Coach Andy Reid won’t panic when the chips are down, and neither will Mahomes. He’ll just have to get better production out of his pass-catchers to pull it off. With Xavier Worthy showing his electric explosiveness in Week 1 and Travis Kelce’s resurgence, the Chiefs are ready to dominate again. But Rashee Rice’s absence will be felt.

Super Bowl Odds – Picking an underdog: Minnesota Vikings (+2200)
Kevin O’Connell is proving to be one of the best coaches in the NFL today. It doesn’t seem to matter who his quarterback is, he puts them in a position to succeed. The Vikings boast the best receiver in the NFL, and Justin Jefferson’s gravity helps the other stars shine.
Meanwhile, Brian Flores has Minnesota’s defense playing lights-out, with a revamped front seven creating pressure at will. This is a great recipe for success, but how sustainable is Sam Darnold’s performance thus far? The Vikings look like playoff contenders for now, but there’s a long way to go.

Betting on a deep sleeper: Cincinnati Bengals (+4500)
While they’re not our favorites to win, if bettors are looking for a Super Bowl longshot, why not consider a team that’s been there before? The Cincinnati Bengals may be behind the eight-ball right now, but Joe Burrow is determined to get his team back to the playoffs. If the Bengals can claim a Wild Card spot, we wouldn’t count them out from running the table the rest of the way.

Pick to avoid: New England Patriots (+100000)
A legendary franchise with a young roster, we don’t trust this team to lead a quick turnaround in 2024. Jacoby Brissett showed he could help the Patriots not lose games, but he’s not special enough to help this roster win them. Drake Maye could be the QB of the future, but even C.J. Stroud couldn’t lead the Texans to a Super Bowl, and he had arguably the greatest season by a rookie signal-caller in NFL history.
If Bill Belichick couldn’t get it done, do you really believe Jerod Mayo will figure it all out in his first season? Don’t buy into their Week 1 win, that was a fluke against a Cincinnati team that was without Tee Higgins, plus Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t up to full speed yet. The weeks that have followed have shown that the Patriots aren’t ready to play ball just yet.
