The Chicago Bulls will soon trade All-Star wing Zach Lavine. We’re not 100% sure when it’s going to happen. But the writing has been on the wall for some time.

LaVine, 29, is coming off an injury-plagued 2023-24 season that saw him miss all but 25 games. He’s also playing under a bloated five-year, $215.16 million contract. All of this has led to the possibility Chicago will have to trade him for pennies on the dollar.

Even then, we’re talking about a two-time All-Star who averaged 25.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists on 39% three-point shooting for Chicago from 2018-23. There is going to be interest. Here, we look at five ideal trade scenarios surrounding Lavine.
