With the 2024 NFL Draft set to go down tonight, we bring you our final New York Giants mock draft.

This will be a pivotal draft in year three for the regime of head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen. After an impressive debut season in 2022, the team took a major step back as they finished 6-11 and near the bottom of the NFC East last season.

Incumbent starting quarterback Daniel Jones seemed to regress before an injury knocked him out for the season and the defense was not as impactful as they were the previous year. Making this draft even more important is that the organization also lost star players Saquon Barkley and Xavier McKinney last month in NFL free agency. Leaving huge holes they have to address starting on Thursday night.

There has been a bunch of speculation about what the G-Men will do with their top picks this week, including bold trades up in Round 1 of the event. Well, wonder no more as we offer up some final predictions for what the Giants will do in all seven rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. But first, let’s look at what picks the team has and their needs heading into tonight.

There have been rumblings for weeks about what the Giants will do with their first selection at sixth overall. The safe and popular decision sees the team staying at six and selecting LSU stud wide receiver Malik Nabers. However, the team needs to find a replacement for Jones and the five best QBs in this year’s class could all come off the board in Round 1.

That is why we expect New York to make a surprise trade with the New England Patriots to move up to No. 3. Rumors suggest the Pats are willing to trade down and if the Giants offer up their pick at six, their fourth-rounder this year, and a second in 2025 that should be enough to help them land the player they reportedly covet most in this year’s class, North Carolina’s Drake Maye.

Many experts feel Maye is not ready to start in year one, but the Giants have a solid QB in Jones already on the roster — if he can stay healthy — which affords them the chance to be patient with Maye. A player some believe has the highest upside of all the QBs in this year’s class.

Second round, 47th overall: Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky

Since the team won’t address wide receiver in Round 1, that is why we see them going after one in Round 2 of our New York Giants mock draft. A player they could target is Western Kentucky star Malachi Corley. The former running back has great hands and the ability to get bunches of yards after the catch. While he needs to develop certain nuances necessary to be an elite receiver, he has all the raw potential and football fundamentals that give him huge potential.

Third round, 70th overall: Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest

In Round 3 we see the G-Men going after more depth in the secondary. One strong option would be Wake Forest veteran Caelen Carson. While he isn’t a ball hawk — something the team could use — he is a ferocious run defender and has a very physical style. He is a rock-solid pass defender, athlete, and is a player who could make an impact as a nickelback in year one.
