Through the first three weeks of the 2020 NFL season, the league has been able to avoid the very same COVID-19 outbreaks we’ve seen around the MLB world.
That might no longer be the case given the news coming out of Nashville Tuesday morning.
Multiple Tennessee Titans players test positive for COVID-19
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo were the first to report the news Tuesday morning, indicating that both the Titans and Vikings, who Tennessee played this past Sunday, will suspend in-person team activities.
The league then confirmed said news, indicating that five other individuals within the Titans’ organization also tested positive for the virus.
The league will conduct further testing and contact tracing to see just how widespread this outbreak is. However, it could have wide-ranging ramifications.
