The Tennessee Titans hit the reset button following a second consecutive losing season. Mike Vrabel is out, and Brian Callahan is in, and now it’s time to replenish the roster with a 2024 Titans mock draft.

We’ve seen the Titans invest in key positions in recent draft classes, with the addition of Peter Skoronski, Will Levis, Treylon Burks, and Roger McCreary. These players will continue shaping the future of the Titans’ franchise, but it’s become evident that more help is needed. With GM Ran Carthon going into his second season as the top decision-maker in Tennessee, the 2024 NFL Draft will be crucial to this team’s success.

1st Round, 7th overall: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

A year ago, we saw the Tennessee Titans draft Peter Skoronski with the 11th pick, and predictably, the Northwestern product experienced some growing pains. There was some hope he could be the Titans’ left tackle, but for now, focusing on guard is probably the better move. No matter what, Tennessee needs to rebuild an offensive line that once featured Titans greats like Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin to give Will Levis a chance to thrive.

Fortunately, there are several top tackle prospects worthy of a top-ten pick in the 2024 NFL Draft class. Notre Dame’s Joe Alt may be the very best offensive lineman available, and unlike Skoronski, he should have no trouble adjusting to the pro level as a day-one starter.

Alt moves much better than one would expect from a 6-foot-8 lineman, but considering he converted from tight end and had a dad who was also an All-Pro tackle, it’s no surprise to see him stifle opponents on a snap-by-snap basis. A player who could be the team’s franchise left tackle for a decade-plus, that’s great value at the seventh pick in the draft.

2nd Round, 38th overall: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

While the Titans may have other needs that are more pressing, such as adding more playmakers in the secondary, the talent at wide receiver in the second round is far too great to overlook. Plus, with De’Andre Hopkins set for free agency after this season, in addition to the slow development of Treylon Burks, one might argue the Titans’ need for a playmaking receiver is just as strong, especially with Brian Callahan looking to get the most out of Will Levis.

As for Adonai Mitchell the player? The Titans are getting a 6-foot-4 receiver with the speed to burn. Not only does Mitchell have plenty of size and speed, he’s also an excellent route runner, showing he’s capable of being a complete player with the potential to be a No. 1 receiver at the next level. Players like that are hard to find, especially in the second round.

4th Round, 106th overall: Josh Newton, CB, TCU

Addressing cornerback earlier on in the 2024 Draft feels like an urgent need, but it’s also possible the Titans address this area in free agency, since they’ll have a ridiculous amount of cap space. Either way, Tennessee must continue adding young talent to the secondary after finishing with the fewest interceptions in the NFL in 2023.

Listed at 6 feet tall, Josh Newton isn’t the biggest cornerback in the 2024 Draft class, but that’s enough size to play anywhere in the secondary. Plus, Newton’s competitiveness ensures he won’t get overmatched on a consistent basis. Newton was regarded as the leader of TCU’s defense, and he’s already earned the respect of Deion Sanders. If he’s good enough for one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history, he should fit in just fine with the Titans too.
