Georgia Bulldogs star tight end Brock Bowers is considered a generational talent at that position. He put up 26 touchdowns in just 35 career games in Athens, proving that he can be an elite receiving threat at the next level.

In what shouldn’t be considered too much of a surprise, Bowers declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. Bowers made the announcement via social media.

Considered a potential top-10 pick in the upcoming draft, Bowers has elite size (6-foot-4). He is also explosive with great down-field and short-area speed. His ball skills are something else with some of the softest hands we’ve seen from a draft prospect at this position in some time.

Here, we look at four ideal landing spots for Bowers in the coming NFL Draft.

Los Angeles Chargers give Justin Herbert another threat

We have absolutely no idea what the future is going to hold for the Los Angeles Chargers after they fired head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco. What we do know is that getting franchise quarterback Justin Herbert more targets in the passing game has to be in the cards.

Gerald Everett (50 receptions, 407 yards this season) is not the same dynamic threat as Bowers. Acquiring someone who can take the top off the defense from the hashes would immediately help Herbert take his game to the next level. Meanwhile, wide receiver Keenan Allen’s future in Southern California is up in the air. If the Chargers move off him, they’ll need to find someone to come close to matching his record-setting production.

New York Jets do Aaron Rodgers a solid with Brock Bowers

The Jets’ offense promises to look different in 2024. Obviously, that starts with Aaron Rodgers returning after suffering a torn Achilles mere plays into his tenure in Jersey. We also know that Rodgers has certain asks of the Jets’ power elite. That will include finding more weapons to go with star youngsters Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson.

Currently slated to pick No. 8 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Jets are a prime potential landing spot for Bowers. We know how Rodgers likes to use tight ends dating back to his days with the Green Bay Packers. This would add another layer to that.

San Francisco 49ers trade up for Brock Bowers

San Francisco will not be in position to land the All-American tight end if the team stands pat. Heck, it might end up boasting the final pick in the first round depending on how the NFL Playoffs go. What we do know is that Kyle Shanahan needs another tight end weapon in the passing game to go with George Kittle.

Kittle leads NFL tight ends with 1,020 receiving yards on the season. After that, there is very little. In fact, other tight ends on the 49ers’ current roster have combined for three receptions. San Francisco is also in position to potentially make a luxury selection. Teaming Bowers up with Kittle would be the definition of that.

Arizona Cardinals nab another weapon for Kyler Murray

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon seemed to confirm that Murray will return as their starting quarterback next season. Despite a recent win over the Philadelphia Eagles, getting him more weapons on offense has to be the name of the game.

The good news for Arizona? It is slated to have two first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. That includes Houston’s selection (currently 15th overall). Perhaps, the Cardinals move up a few spots. They could also just hope that Bowers falls a bit once the draft gets going.
